Are the world afraid of Sweden
Hi, this is my first thread and i am sorry if i am not english, because i am from Sweden.
I think Björn W. is not a driver this year because he is from Sweden! I think the world have had up to the neck with us Sweeds, being the best of the most diciplines (speld right). Punshing my own backside. M. Ekström, Carolina Kluft, Rickard Rydell, etc. with WC. With humble regards from SWEDEN. |

I hope Wirdheim finds a place in Champ Car or somewhere, he's a good driver.

Remind me: is Wirdheim the one who lifted too soon in the last lap of the monaco f3000 GP in 2003, or the one that passed that guy to take victory?
I know he was involved in it |

He's the guy who lifted, Kiesa was the guy who took the victory. Wirdheim dominated the 2003 F3000 championship and he deserved a lot better than a role as friday tester for Jaguar (though a lot of drivers do).

Heh, I think Alex Yoong deserved better than the Jaguar test driver...
Carolina Kluft = best athlete on the planet. A level of domination of her event of which Schumi can only dream. And she's a babe. Wirdheim is bloody good, but there is a logjam in F1 and he can't break it. |

Welcome, Tylerfan.
Though I'm a Yank, my closest living relatives are in Sweden. Lovely place and I'm an old Ronnie P. fan. Welcome to the board. I think you'll find us a friendly bunch and we have many members for whom English isn't their first language. Heck we've even got Australians here! Err, time to duck. |

Too late EERO, he's off into the forest again for another year. Maybe we will see him again one day.

Swedes is our beloved enemy of sports, it's kind of love-hate relationship, bit like England and France.
But, I must admit, Stefan Johansson is one of my all time favourite race drivers. (And I also dig Färjestad BK of Swedish hockey league. ) Last edited by 429CJ; 5 Mar 2005 at 18:30. |

afraid of Sweden??
I wouldn't invade in a hurry- any country with such a small population that can develop it's own supersonic jet fighters (as well as that funky low tank and all the other military Volvo kit, which is frankly rather nang) has got to be worthy of respect... tho' to this day it bothers me that Saab re-badge Vauxhall/Opels and not the other way around!!! The first time I ever cried over someone famous dying was for Ronnie Peterson; for me he is a fixture in the list of the greatest non-world champions, with Moss and 'Real' Villeneuve |
