I am pretty sure the article was referring to LDM thinking, as an option,
about purchasing the current #39 chassis that currently runs at PMM to

It's T8 car and Luffy has had more experience with T8 machines in the recent past (DJR)....if he stays....of-course.

It was once said that if you say something over and over again, you eventually come to believe it. Nobody else does though...

When asked on an update on his team’s future, Morris only spoke of his desire to continue unchanged and says that he wants to replace Ingall with a young driver, nominating leading Fujitsu V8 Series driver David Russell as a fitting candidate.

“We’re looking at young guys,” Morris said.

“David Russell is in our sights. I like the way he drives, the way he presents himself and I think we can build something around him.”

I did laugh at the suggestion of "we've got to look at youth, that's the future of the sport".... Despite Ingall being with the team for the past 4 years and being the oldest guy in V8's, and at 36 Steve Owen is hardly 'youth'

Don't know how big Russell's budget is. I was more pointing out Morris's lack of sponsors and will to fully fund 2 drives.

In MeN tonite, it appears that RNR/FPR have designs on Mr Reynolds for the #55 seat in 2012 and beyond. With a real life, honest to goodness contract in tow. If the story is to be believed, Mr Reynolds allegedly does not have a physical contract at KR, more of a handshake agreement...

What was that old saying about handshake agreements? Not worth the paper they are written on?

Given that Mr Reynolds is something of a shining star in an otherwise workman like Kelly Racing squad, and the posturing of Mr Crennan over the whole Reynolds contract thing... perhaps Kelly Racing are waiting for a 2012 budget contribution from FPR/RNR to get the whole shebang nailed down...

I thought Crennan was smarter than that... KR should have resigned Reynolds ages ago, bit like St Kilda FC and their coach.

And I really hope they aren't holding out their hands for a payout of a 'handshake' contract.

Also would RNR/FPR bother paying compo to KR if they can have someone like Fabian Coulthard without strings after Walkinshaw discard him for Ingall/Supercheap dollars?
