Still no Riley. That's due at Spa now. And when we get to Spa it'll be due at Estoril.

Thank you Very much for this post. I have missed a couple ELMS events this season ... i only missed two minutes of this one.

F1 on the other screen ... In case they have an overtake there (it could happen) but I will need to switch to La Vuelta later on.

Man ... after watching Conti at VIR yesterday, Paul Ricard is about as ugly as an open sewer .... (well not That bad, but hey, grass is Not evil, okay?)

Current Toyota driver versus former Toyota driver ... there may be a bit more than the race lead riding on this battle

Froome looked knackered yesterday, he surely would have chased Quintana down if he could have. Maybe Sky have (gasp!) got it wrong in trying to maintain Froome's form through the Tour-Vuelta gap using the Olympics as a glorified two-day classic.

I don't think you could get a bigger contrast than VIR and Paul Ricard to be fair. For all the moaning I see in the "American" threads, you should all be thankful you have largely untamed pastures at the sides of your circuits.

Paul Ricard is a great test circuit but nothing should race here. P2 doing their best to put on a show though. G Drive Gibson trying desperately to make up for a lack of straight line speed.

A couple more of those overtakes and we might have to call any outside pass into T1 The Tincknell.

Am driver differences is going to decide this. Pierre Thiriet is almost pro standard now whilst Hedman is losing about 4 seconds a lap.

Thiriet & Hedman - they both pay the bills, but only one has the skills!

So what happened to the #23? Crawled to the pits, but had a speedy stop.

Simon Dolan is another quite quick am driver. Quite a good driver crew for his car...

#23 seems to be hunted by gremlins. I feel a bit for those guys.

Dolan is somewhere between Hedman and Thiriet. I suspect this Thiriet might end up being promoted up a rank at the end of this year.

Dolan has pro speed at times, but consistency and traffic management are still lacking, even compared to Thiriet (although this is masked somewhat by TDS executing their strategy well to make sure Pierre gets the car in the lead).

So that would force them to pick a new Silver driver, next to - presumably - Thiriet and Beche, instead of Harikawa/Conway ?

After the shenanigans of the Hungaroring BSS, I'll take a precautionary FCY any day of the week.

You don't take chances with a car stuck in pit entry pointed the wrong way ... or a stricken car on track with a tractor incoming.

I think Simon have handled traffic really well recently, so maybe he's getting there.

Definitely - compared to 2-3 years ago when he wouldn't stop pushing even in traffic he is much better at dealing with other cars. But if he can now match Thiriet's consistency in traffic (i.e. maintaining speed/lap times) he'll be a brilliant Silver driver.

And then he'll be promoted to Gold and put either Harry or Guido out of joint

The car needed a new nose, so I guess he managed to hit something.
