'Senna to race for HRT' would also have been an acceptable headline for this thread.

All those extra laps HRT will be doing at Bahrain! Surely billy will find a way to ban Skaife because of it!

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.

It looks like "HRT" is going to have to even more get used to not winning this year!

Seriously though, what a marketing disaster for the 'real' HRT to have the name dragged through mud by a F1 team which is likely to have a disastrous year.

Mind you, so far this year HRT has had its own fair share of disasters itself.

Thinking hypothetically if the topic was actually relevant to the Australian HRT operation:

Would Walkinshaw ever be welcomed back into F1 circles are the mess he left with Arrows?
(Suppliers probably wouldn't be too interested in his 'personal guarantees' )

And if so, would he put at risk HRT/HSV; the only real businesses he was (somehow) able to retain after the liquidation of TWR?

Getting a bit off topic, but wasn't HRT sold to Skaife and then Walkinshaw bought it back?

Umm,... 'acquired' by Holden, then 'sold' to Skaife, and then 'bought' by TW (aka practically given to TW in lieu of debts incurred to WP; with those debts not made any easier by the non-payment of HSV sponsorship to HRT).
The full ownership cycle seemingly pre-arranged from the onset.

Possibly Skaife was the only person who genuinely thought he had bought HRT.

But back on topic, and to the theoretical question:

VESA originally knocked TW back as an undesirable person to hold a V8 Supercar licence; would the F1 hierarchy be likely to do the same, or would they cave in like VESA eventually did, and welcome him with open arms?
