No apologies from me for continuing my 'vintage' theme. This one was taken on the Flying Scotsman Rally in April last year as the event passed through North Yorkshire - this section was on the North York Moors.

These were some of the last cars to pass though and it was starting to get dark and very wet. My car was parked a couple of miles away (I'd combined the event with some walking on the moors) and as I started to head back I just managed to get this rear-end shot. With a bit of vintage colouring added I always thought it added to the overall mood at the time.

Good to see a couple of Reliants in there, particularly since Sabre stalwart, Geoff Cooper passed away recently.

This was one of my favourite images of the year and one I believe Brian has used as a screensaver. Brian Arculus and Jonathan Smare entering the hairpin at Mallory at MGCC meeting.

I have several of those. Is it the one with you shading your eyes, Brian?

In the meantime, one of Nigel Winchester in his special bodied AC Ace Bristol, known as the Venezuelan car as it spent much of its racing life in South America, I believe. What interests me about this shot is that it reminds of some of those old B & W shots from the early days of racing when the cars looked as though they were leaning forward, something no doubt to do with shutter size and speed:-

Ah, OK - better accredit that one then, as it is one Jeff Bloxham took.

I enjoyed that race the result made it even better! Interestingly in your second one that's Willy Toye in the TR V8. He started working with me about two weeks after Spa. We'd never met before but know the same people.
