Probably the biggest problem Williams could face is losing their paying customer if they don't improve. This is the downside of taking drivers on commercial terms, if you don't deliver on your side of the bargain, they can take their business elsewhere.

I know that Williams say they have a contract with his sponsor, but this is bound to contain performance clauses (on both sides) and there is no such thing as a watertight contract, just how much you need to pay to get out of it....

This is their biggest incentive to improve for 2014 - if of course PM doesn't go elsewhere in the 2013 musical chairs.
