RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Seeing as you have made the accusation without names, why not put the name to this person you claim can't?

There is no need to smear the name of the person I was referring to. They got the message loud and clear.

My greatest pet hate is those that sit back and critisise the work of others.

When I see it happening, I like the people to understand that they should help contruct Australian Motorsport, rather than de-construct it.

The politics within Australian Motorsport is ridiculous, and is certainly not helping the cause.

I do not need to mention the person's name, for that would make them feel cornered and would force them to strike out, this is not the result I want.

I would like the person who feels I was referring to them to understand what they are doing is weak and selfish.

That is all.

Do they know who you are referring to? Personally I find that form of vilificaiton worse than a direct attack. Innuendoes made, 'they know who I mean' - sorry doesn't cut water.

I have in the past criticised Schenken and AVESCO and will continue to do so where I believe they deserve to be criticised. Or are you saying this shouldn't happen - that they are on a pedastel?

Or were you referring to me in the first place?

Ractime, do you feel that you are not creating something special for the sport?

Mate you have set-up a website that is used by most Australian Race Teams at all levels day to day. Whenever reference of lap times from 1996 is required, the first place everyone goes is to your website.

I am not suggesting you put Tim or AVESCO on a pedestal. I believe that those that want to attack what Tim and AVESCO do, need to have shown that they are committed to help changing the things they disagree with.

I don't like naming people with this sort of general disapproval. It is just singling out one or two for the actions of many.

Racetime, you have given a great deal of your time and effort to Australian Motorsport so don't feel as though I am singling you out. In fact if more people were putting in the effort you do, our sport would be a lot healthier than it currently is.

Is being first just about money ( hrt ) or is it the best team, thats driver through to orange boy do the best job, the rest just need to pick up the game plan a little to get in front, but hey how many V8 detractors would turn down a drive in one of these dinosaurs?

Well there is not a lot of things id change in the series, if it aint broke dont fix it. The racing is great and hrt is not ruining the championship. And im not just saying it because im a holden fan,im not. Ford all the way.But the penalites can be harsh at times and the weight restriction thing is a joke. it still wouldnt slow down the damm hrt cars. I recon i could win in one of those

wreckless - you say the penalties are harsh - wouldn't it be more correct to say they are inconsistent?

Not only the penalties but the application of the rules is also different from rce to raced (Race 1 at Adelaide - safety car - is a damn good example if this)

Sure I agree - if things ain't broke, don't try and fix them - but you also have to have an even application of rules and not, as has been happening for the past 2-3 season - a different interpretation every race (this is *supposedly* what race directors and series stewards were brought in to try and fix)

regards kerb hopping. Sorry, But the penalties for that are just fine in my book. A driver doesn't necessarily gain an advantage by doing it, but he can disadvantage others by pulling dirt, gravel and the like on the track. A certain Ford Driver, and a certain Holden Driver are the worst at it, and are alos the first to ***** when someone does it to them...

Why not name them, so anyone who's interested can watch them and see for themselves?

Ok 38 races and HRT won 16, 90% race win? I know it feels like HRT win 90% of the races, but that is probably because they win more that any other team.
By the way I am not a HRT fan, I would love to see other teams up there more often.

Ray, Ok I will.

Ford Driver is Simon Wills and Holden Driver is Paul Morris.
Though there are several others that do it as well. And there are some that dont even touch the kerbs.

There's also a story that at Winton one day Larry actually stopped at a flag point, got out and asked the flaggies who'd been pulling the dirt on line at the Sweeper... The flaggies stupidly said who it was, and Larry got back in the car and drove off... Presumably to have a full and frank discussion of views with Glenn Seton.

Heheh... I remember back a couple of years on the Gold Coast, closely watching a dice between Steve Johnson and Tomas Mezera (back when Steve was in the Alcair Commodore). Steve was getting a good 2 foot of air on all of the kerbs, while Tomas was as smooth as silk, hit every apex, but not the kerbs.

Also, I remember back when QR first came online, there were a heap of lose rocks on the inside of the kerbs. In one race, the leader went over too far, kicking junk back up onto everyone. Most people broke something, while one poor guy broke his windscreen, radiator, grill, and both headlights...

I've said it before I'll say it again. I am absolutely opposed to performance penalties. Socialism doesn't work people, the Soviet Union proved that, people need incentive.

HRT aren't dominating just because they have the biggest budget. If that was true Jaguar would be having a good shake at the F1 title. HRT are dominating because they have all their ducks in a row. study the team closely and objectively and you'll see they really dion't have a weakness. I believe every other team out there has at least one.

I agree, i'm not a fan of success ballast either, apart from the fact that it creates an artificially created championship, it is penalising teams for doing a good job.
