Concept Falcon Coupe

Here's a drawing of a concept Falcon coupe I found in the designer's Corner section in the latest Wheels Mag.

nice but the aggressive front doesnt match the smooth rear, it needs a giant wing or something

I'd love to see that car in the flesh- shame they'd never put it on sale over here!

And Holden is such a trailblazer of modern ideas. Coupes based on their sedans. Wow, I'd never have thought of it... Oh wait, in modern history isn't the massively successful Godzilla and GTS Skyline sharing it's chassis and many many parts with it's humble 4 door FR brother? Oh well.

They're gonna make a 4WD variant of their sedan! ANd it'll be bigger than those poxy WRX's. And corner like a real commodore! (That is good right?). And have a V8, because we all know that 8 cylinders is the best. (Those people who built the Porsche 911 GT's don't know anything.) Audi who?

It was ford's attempt to break free of the bogan doof-doof image that got it into trouble. The problem is that they forgot a few things about the australian public, about image effects, and about automotive manufacture. Holden just kept playing to the masses. Hey, why not. If I was them, I'd exploit the idiots for all they're worth too.

PS: I'm not insinuating Holden or Ford buyers are stupid. I just know many people's reasons for buying cars, and most of those people's reasons have sweet stuff all to do with the car itself. That isn't a broad generalization. That is an accurate summation of the majority of the australian buying public based on the fact it's what I take interest in and have travelled around australia at least more than once, knowing people from private school headmasters to shelf stockers to mechanics to truck drivers to bank tellers and accountants.
