Piper Formula Ford

I am the secretary of the Piper Club and we have*found some documents that provide the following information.
*
*
We have an account that a Piper Formula Ford was raced at Brands Hatch on the 16th April 1967 at a Romford Enthusiasts Car Club event with claims that it established a new circuit record for Formula Fords at 58 seconds driven by Graham Tomlinson, son of John Tomlinson who was chief instructor at the Lydden Hill Racing school and also involved in Motor Racing Developments.
*
I have found any programme or entry list or results for this event.
*
We do not know any further details apart from that the car was used at the Lydden Hill racing school and could be loaned out for races but have not clue what happened to the car or if it still exists.

*I must apologise*I do not know how*I managed to type in April * when the event mentioned was on July 16th. I only have the date for the meeting so*I checked*Motorsport from July 1967 in the fixtures list there was a Romford ECC on the 16th July therefore assume that it was this event.
I do not seem to be able to edit the original post to change to July.

Autosport should contain a report of the meeting. I think the copy containing it would be July 21st. I had a quick look on Ebay and the 14th and 28th are available but not the 21st at the moment. There may also be a mention of the car in "Pit and Paddock" earlier in the year.

I can report from my programme collection that on 9th July 1967 Lydden Hill Racing School entered Graham Tomlinson in Event 6 , "A Race for Formula Ford Cars" over 15 laps.
He was classified 5th in car no. 134 Piper Mk2 1500cc
The winner Malcolm Payne Jim Russell Racing Drivers School also set fastest lap at 58.2* (76.7mph)
Second was Claude Bourgoigne J.R.R.D.S.
Third was John Day Motor Racing Stables
Fourth was Ray Allen M.R.S
Sixth was J F Dalziel M.RS.
*Ray Allen currently held lap record at 59.0 (75.66mph)

Sadly I missed the meeting on 16th July.
As a 15 year old racing fanatic I was saving my money for the BOAC 500 on July 30th!
