Mr van Gisbergen did well to get 3rd, was on new tyres and way up on both of them until the last sector when Mr D'Alberto was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and baulked the lap. Woulda Coulda Shoulda. Didnt. Yet

Mr Reindler stuffed it in during early practice.. hurt the car pretty badly...
 ... new chassis rails.. plenty of panels.. not sure if the engine was undamaged.. At one stage, members of all 3 BJR squads were on hand helping the repairs... |

Why is Whincup classified in 20th? Fiore did more laps than him. Fiore shouldn't get any points as he did not finish but Whincup shouldn't be bumped up a place. It should be:

has never worked that way silver speed,
you have to cross the line after the winner has finished, fiore didnt, and Jamie is considered 20th. its consistant with the rules, its just rarely the championship leader that it happens too |

Presuming there are no post race penalties... ... the order looks something like...
There are still quite a few championship positions that can mathematically change place. For example, SBR could end up with 3 cars in the top 10... Mr Courtney may still make the top 10... the 3rd place slot is still open to Mr Winterbottom, Mr Van Gisbergen & Mr Tander.. Still a bit for them all to play for... |
