These are some pictures I took of a INEX sanctioned race held at Hallet Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa. These guys put on quite a good show with close and tight racign for 15 laps.

For those unfamiliar with the Legends, they are a 1/5 scale budget minded racer using the venerable Yamaha FJ1200 powerplant and street tires. The bodies were originally developed for dirt oval racing and depict 1940's Ford and Chevy styles. They have become very popular with road racers in the US for their relative low cost to campaign and the rules which are designed to keep the racing close. The INEX cars race a sealed FJ1200 motor and BF Goodrich Comp TA road tires. They are a little nervous to drive and must be constantly corrected, but they also teach young racers a lot about car control with their hard compound tires and coil over suspension.
