Telling team cars apart

The past few years I've watched quite a few sports car races, where factory teams enter several cars each. And I struggle a lot to tell them apart.

Some have a minuscule color strip in the windshield. Some have headlight "eye liners". Some have different side mirror colors. But those details are so difficult to find at a glance.

The Ford GT program has been close, but not enough.

The green windshield stripe and mirror are ok, but it's not wnough. THe rear wings sideplates need color too. And how about a stripe in the bottom of the car?

The best examples I've ever seen are the early 2010s Penske and Ganassi IndyCar liveries.

Why don't teams use proper color identifiers to help fans?
