brendonwood,
I had no idea that there was a NZ privateer Group A XJS - thanks for the information!

I scanned this info for someone a couple of years ago when a restoration was rumoured, but I haven't seen the car return to the track.

If the car is restored, it should be brought over to Australia to race against the Garry Willmington XJS of the same era, which is now competing in historic Group A racing.

The car was back on the circuit at the Wigram Revival meeting at Ruapuna last weekend & looking outstanding. There was also further mention of it here:

Driven by Angus Fogg, who has prepared the car, possibly for Gary Johnson who races an immaculate XJS as per the Hulme/Hahne livery.
I'm not sure whether or not Christchurch based Gary intends leaving the car in Auckland (with Angus) so that he can nip up to race it in North Island events.

Hopefully, both will be at both weekends of the annual Hampton Downs Festival in January.

There's actually some quite good spectator footage of the XJS in question from a race meeting at Mike Pero Motorsport Park Ruapuna last year.

would any one have any photos or pictures of any scrutinising details that any of these cars had in this race or the Surfaces Paradise race in 86-87? as its me that has the John Jeffries / Bangle RS1600i (red, blue and white) back here in the UK..
