Road courses in Europe, good idea

A little over half way...been lots of cautions, and I have only caught bits and pieces on the radio, but tuned to the TV coverage with nearly 200 miles left to see JR leading and drivers already saving fuel under caution. Fuel mileage and Dale Jr leading at MIS. Who would've thunk it?

It was a helluva lot better race than Darlington...

The race was quick and to the point despite some crazy racing and nasty incidents, What it once again proved is NASCAR needs to shorten more races, all the better races this year except Talladega were under 500 miles: Bristol (250), Auto Club (400), Richmond (300), Dover (400) and now Michigan (400).

Also, what a terrible day for Hendrick Motorsports!

Thought that was as boring as a NASCAR race could be - twas thinking this was a track they should dump for another road course....

Good result for Danica, 13th - RPM & Ambrose are poo, 10 spots behind princess! Better off driving for James Finch...

Not likely going to drop MIS as it is the "Detroit" race and it's very unlikely they'll add a road course.

Also, it looked like a pretty decent crowd yesterday. The front stretch grandstands were fairly packed, but never noticed what it was like in the others...

Can't dump a race from Michigan, ISC has taken great chunks out of Brian's booze budget to upgrade the track facilities and repave. If any race deserves to get a can it's one of the ultra-long 500 mile Tejas races.

Plus, you'd send every NASCAR owner except Michael Waltrip and Joe Gibbs on suicide watch.

Apparently attendance was around 80-85k, basically like the past two years at MIS.

Shorten every oval race, even the RP tracks. It would work very well. More urgency to race and get what they can instead of just riding around until the very end.

With that said, let's (well, you know what I mean) increase the length of the RC tracks.
