There aren't that many BAs with a yellow cage. That tends to suggest the ex John Briggs chassis#5 used by Howard Racing. Chassis#6 got a makeover when it went to PCR and now has a blue cage and interior. I think that car now lives in NZ.
I think Rod Dawson may own the ex WPS unit run by Luke Youlden. What colour is the car? |

2.07.7 is pretty epic.... but the track must be giving up good grip with the top 5 going faster this year than ever before!

I hope the safety cars to retrieve both of those cars is not a sign of the crap to come on Sunday.
I will run around Mt P if they could not have got those cars out before the field came around again for christ sake. |

R2 is a mess... started under safety car after a brief shower... then Mr Fernandez lands in the sand... and Mr Emery tries to recover from a spin across a live track and Mr Fisher collected his car big time.
SC deployed.. |

If Mr Emery doesn't get his licence torn up for his attempt to rejoin the circuit CAMS will have lost the last little bit (if any) of its credability.
Oh and my own company is now famous after showing Ben Egglestons car in pit lane on TV with my logo on the front guard :-):-) |

Technically Mr Emery wasnt rejoining the ciircuit, for he never actually left it... the car was as far into the plastic covered tyre barriers as would be physically possible... and given that the car was propped with plenty of vision available out the passenger window, quite how Mr Emery did not see Mr Fisher (amongst others..) coming is difficult to fathom.
The crew were not impressed after the event either, yet another meeting where a damaged yellow machine has to be manhandled into the transporter for rebirthing later in life. Given the history of these particular cars, and potential historic significance (including the 6 second Murf car) maybe they should be put back in the museum...... If CAMS are as clever as they were with Mr Pither's incident with Mr Weel (Here) and fining him $6,000 with half suspended for his inability to see invisible yellow flags, anything may be possible. |

I would think that given this admission and the ability of another car (Brad Jones?) to easily avoid the stricken car and the obvious speed at which the collision occurred, that a $6000/$3000 fine was quite leniant. I don't see your issue with CAMS here. |

I'm told that the 'in-car' clearly shows Waved Yellows + Flashing Lights!
...Allegedly! Also, that Mr Emery was acting on marshall's directions! ...Allegedly! Last edited by PhaseIII; 11 Oct 2008 at 12:49. |

The engine in the #61 car wont trouble the rebuilder any time soon... I would doubt it revved over 6,500rpm anywhere The young bloke was being careful with the gear but this was also reflected in the laptimes...
Maybe Oran Park will be better ? |
