Mr Caruso is a paid pilot.. presumably NisMoAu are looking at swapping him out for Mr Courtney...

Caruso is in the Top 10. Will Courtney transition that quickly? Will Carys live in Melbourne?

Who said JC will move to melbourne? Remember Walkinshaw Racing is based Melbourne and JC lives on the Gold Coast.

She'd sooner move to Melbourne, than say, Japan.

All very nice to reminisce about past glories, but reviving a previously successful brand isn't going to fix the problems. HSV is I believe owned 50/50 by the Walkinshaw family and Holden, so ultimately it is money from the same pot. What is needed is sponsorship from another source...that Monster money would have come in handy.

Surely if the Kelly's are really interested in furthering their teams prospects rather that keeping themselves in a seat they should be aiming at a driving line up of.

Rick Kelly
Michael Caruso
James Courtney
Scott Pye

For 2017.

For 2017.
It could be argued that the team's current operating budget and sponsor pool would be unable to support a program with those pilots aboard..

True, But it could be argued that they should be able to pick up Pye for a relative bargin or he sits out a year (and his career possibly goes tits up). You might be able to bargin pretty hard with Courtney as he hasn't really done much winning with HRT besides a few wins here and there. (But he does have options)

Mr Wood's dowry is what's keeping at least one of their cars on the grid this year.

Without him, or significant sponsorship to replace him, he'll be back.

Any takers on the number of empty seats next year?

- 1 (or is it 2?) GRM
- 0, 1 or 2 HRT seats
- 1 (or 2?) BJR seats
- 1 or 2 LDM
- 1 Erebus

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Funny how one James Phelps is the only one continuing to speculate that James Courtney is going to Nissan next year, again in today Daily Telegraph he continues to dribble on about it.
No body else is saying this only him.

Skaife is also talking about it and I'm guessing he wouldn't be repeating it if had only come from Phelps

Yes he did, but he works with Phelps on inside supercars were Phelps has been pushing the Nissan theory for weeks on end, so cause he would say that.

Im hearing what also came up yesterday BJR

He seems to be staying schtum...

IIRC Crompton still has a hand in managing Courtney (with Gow) so its probably prudent for him to not be commenting on it.

So a couple of questions for me.

1. What is the loss of affiliate sponsors related to Holden. It wasn't that long ago that HRT were the kings of these related B2B sponsorships.
2. Without the star drivers how hard is it to draw equivalent sponsorship? One way to look at it is that Holden has had most of the space, but even the smaller sponsorships seem to have been hard to come by.

Pye is very likeable but I fear he's always going to zig when he should have zagged.

You wonder just what results he might have had if he ended up in a 888 car.
