Not sure on the figure, but Alan Gow said on the TOCA forums the other day that it was up on last year.

There were a lot more people than last year. On qualifying day one whole cart park was full, which i have never seen before. Race day was packed, and the test was very busy. That may have been because it was so close to the race weekend, but ive never seen marshalls stopping you going on the pit lane for the test before. Would be very intersting to see the official figures.

The record (so far) for Thruxton BTCC is 45,500 people for the August rounds during the late summer of - i think - 1988

In MN it said about 18,500 were at Thruxton. And with racing like that, it can only get better!
