Maserati to FIA GT in 2004
Planet F1 are carrying a story that it is now confirmed that Maserati will be entering the FIA GT championship in 2004. Hopefully they will extend this to Lemans and ALMS as well.

The Risi Competizione team is planning to run Maserati’s new super GT in the American Le Mans Series in 2004. |

Yes it has been confirmed also in the "Motorsport News Newspaper" today. The article says the cars is planned to run in the final 3 ALMS races of 2003 before doing a full season of the FIA GT series in 2004.

It depends, what is the engine size of the car again? If it is going to be a LMP car it would need to be a LMP900 id imagine as they engine would be too big for a LMP675. If it is to enter the LMP900 class or LMP GTP class the engine would have to be a maximum of a 4.0ltr twin turbo or supercharged or a 6.0ltr normally aspirated engine.

I dont know as I said, it depends on certain things. Tell me the engine size, and I can tell u then if the car is eligable. As for the car being at Petit Le Mans yes it very well could be, as they plan to race the car in the ALMS before it enters the FIA GT series in 2004.
