Got my tickets at last. And I've been moved from Bridge corner to Abbey.....

Yes, I am p****d off.

Still, I don't care ultimately. I just want to get to a Grand Prix.

If this happens next year though, I'll be a bit miffed.

That's a shame, didn't think they could do that.

Never say Silverstone doesn't know how to treat it's paying customers!

so it turns out there was no re-printing.........somehow my tickets got cancelled and have never been sent out! but luckily they are still sat there reserved for me.........all a bit confusing and makes you wonder why no attempts were made from silverstone to get in contact and see what the hell was going on!!! all a bit of a mess really!

So you have to pick them up at the track? Great!
While everyone else is filing towards the gates you'll be queueing up at a little booth!

"We're writing to inform you about an amendment to your Silverstone ticket for the Sunday.

Unfortunately our full allocation of tickets for Bridge and /or Farm enclosure has run out. However, we are plkeased to inform you that we have been able to upgrade your ticket to Gold 1 - Abbey grandstand at no extra charge. This means as per the original package you will be entitled to free roving seating in any of the enclosures or grandstands, subject to availability, on Saturday and you will have a reserved grandstand seat for Sunday."

I actually find that more confusing every time I read it.

Does it mean I can sit at Bridge on Saturday and have to sit at Abbey on Sunday. Help!

And I don't know where they get the idea that they have 'upgraded' my ticket. it was the same price and everything, just a different grandstand!

As far as I know the seats are only allocated for the sunday, so yes it means you can sit at bridge on saturday...but I would get there early as I think it will fill up quickly!

I was working in the GP ticket despatch team - I hope you all got your tickets ok! I know it must be annoying to have changes made etc but I must add that our fab little team of 10 worked damned hard for 6 weeks getting all the tickets sent out!!!

hi nina! i appreciate all your hard work and can understand it is not an easy job trying to please everyone and sort out lots of various problems. A possible idea for the future that maybe you could pass on........ surely silverstone/ticket agency should send out some form of notification when tickets are cancelled - as in my case we had no clue it had happened and were lucky to still have our seats!!!

Also just out of interest how did you get your job? as i would be interested in doing something similar for silverstone in the future!

Hi, I cant comment on the process, All I can comment on is how hard everybody worked to get it all done

I think they recruit a temporary little team of ticket despatchers - They were advertising end of April/ Early May this year.
