NASCAR Mexico fatal incident...

Guys, today during the NASCAR Mexico round 4 race at Puebla, a fatal race incident took the life of the driver Carlos Pardo, when his car spun in a race incident contact battling for the lead with 4 laps to go, hitting the pitline divison wall, nailing the car from over 240 km/hr to zero in just than a second.

He was airlifted to the nearest hospital and was declared dead when receiving attention...

he only was 33 years old...

RIP Carlos Pardo...

Let's make a pray for him and for his family...

That was terrible. Where some drivers reminstrating with the driver who pushed Carlos off?

RIP Carlos...

Awful crash, but were they running the wrong way round the track because that barrier he hit looked very dangerous - surely it should have been much longer and much more shallow in angle? I guess the driver who tapped him is going to get tagged as a killer by his fellow drivers and race fans whatever the outcome in the aftermath.

RIP Carlos

After seeing the footage, I wasn't surprised that the driver didn't survive, it looked like a bomb went off. RIP Carlos.

Carlos and his brother Ruben have made some road course races in Busch/Nationwide cars.

In the video the driver that was been reminstrating by the others was his brother Ruben as well Carlos wife, Ruben was some cars behind in the pack and saw everything...horrible.

The driver that was battling with Carlos at the time of the crash was Jorge Goeters, in a sunday late night sports show said that in a surveliance video from the track, appears how Carlos slightly close his line over Jorge before they touch, stewards have to study carefully the evidence...

Goeters is quite an experienced guy so that surprises me - raced in Champ Car, A1 GP, Sprint Cup and a Nationwide pole sitter at Mexico City. But to blame him totally for the accident would be making him a scapegoat for the appallingly positioned barrier

Appallingly positioned or not, he still pushed that car around, and the more and more I replayed it, the more certain I am.

RIP Carlos.

It looked to me like the Edwards/Keselowski incident. Pardo came down on a line that someone else already had...

no bueno
sickening, that wreck. absolutely horrible.
purely a racing incident....if you are looking to blame someone, blame the scumbag/idiot that decided that a wall needed to be there.

really shows how dangerous this sport can be when a simple accident can turn so nasty on impact with something that probably shouldnt be there...

Upon seeing the video of the crash, I was quite stunned, that is one of the worst impacts I've ever seen and I've seen heaps over the years.

Absolutely horrible. I dont want to think of what was going through his brother's mind when he saw that in front of him.

RIP Carlos.
