Super GT (former Japan GT) cancels Shanghai round
Super GT decided to cancel the Shanghai race, originally scheduled for May 21-22.
They already cancelled the Zhuhai Exhibition race last year, now they have to cancel the Shanghai race this year. Seems like a rocky road to China for them, which is a surprise as Nissan, Toyota and Honda all have factories in China. |

Believe it or not, the cancellation is due to the 60th anniversary of VJ Day...

Tst, tst...Not very clever of them to plan it on that weekend in the first place. Mind you, they shouldn't really mix politics with sports...

BTW, DSC says the round will not be replaced at all and that the Team Amprex Murcielago R-GT that debuted this year will be up for sale. This is indeed bad news for everyone...I wonder if the same will happen for the other team - JLOC.

I thought Amprex was going to go and race in Le Mans with the Lamborghini one day. I suppose the lack of support from Reiter Eng did it. Oh well, they could always buy another car.

well there is still JLOC's lambo. there not going to abdone it. But isn't this the second time a JGTC/Super GT round in china was cancelled?
