av8rirl should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What ever happened with the Prodrive entry? Do they still own the 12th team spot? Do they have to pay an annual fee to hold it? Are they fined annually for not presenting a car? Or did they lose it by not competing?

This is the last I'd seen on it (and thats from 2007) but doesn't give a definite answer: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/64281

Interesting that the BBC take on this uses the brand name of Aston Martin rather than Prodrive

the sniper has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I'm getting a sense of deja vu...

The proposed £30m budget-cap (soon to be revised to £25m?) definitely seems to be encouraging new entries into Formula One. If the current ten teams continue in F1 and are joined by Prodrive, Lola and USF1/USGPE, then the 2010 season promises to be even more eagerly awaited than this one.

As for Prodrive themselves, David Richards is definitely someone who knows what it takes to succeed in top-level motorsport. His recent Le Mans success with Aston Martin, combined with his previous F1 experiences with Benetton and BAR, makes him someone who would approach a Formula One entry with realistic targets and sensible ambition - definitely the right man for the job. Good luck Prodrive!
