skidmark105 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1992 BRDC / BRSCC saloon championship

Can anyone help me?
I'm after video footage / photo's etc of the 1992 BRDC saloon car championship as I've just recently purchased the British 1992 group N championship winning Sierra RS Cosworth of Ian Khan.
I've already got the 1991 Esso Superlube video that the car features in but haven't been able to find any footage of the 1992 series.
I'd dearly love to get any footage, photo's, article etc. I've already contacted the BRDC and after six months are still waiting to hear if they've found anything.
Any information or advice would be much appreciated.
Regards

This is a hard one, ive been searching around but to no avail, do you know what colour the original car was in 1992? What number?

Hi Duffacus,
1991 saw the car in a horrible baby blue, 1992 the car was typically a very plain white car with little or no sponsorship - to my knowledge Ian Khan only ever ran Number 9 on this Sierra.
I managed to find the 1991 Esso Superlube video of this car but a 1992 Esso Superlube video doesn't seem to exist. Presumably 92 saw the series with a new naming sponsor. Any ideas?
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards
Luke

Right! I have been e-mialed back by the BRSCC and i have some information! I e-mailed them on my name, this is what the e-mail said:

Jamie,

The only copy of video we have got is the 1990 Production Car Championship which was done by a company called PP Video Productions and I would presume that they may have a copy of the 1992 championship. Done a quick search on
the internet and below are the only details I could find.

PP Video Productions

You are welcome to have this video if you wish FOC - just pay for postage.

Kind regards

Hi Jamie,
I have both the 1991 & 92 Production car championship videos from PP Video Productions but my car does not feature in this championship. There must have been multiple group N championships running at the same time. All the Production car championship was sponsored by Bridgestone and as a result they all ran Bridgestone road legal tyres. The sierra has only ever run on Dunlop tyres. I got all excited when I ordered the above videos thinking I had finally found some footage only to find that when they finally turned up my car wasn't to be seen.
The 1991 year the race series was sponsored by Esso Superlube but the sponsor I think must have changed. I haven't had anyone be able to tell me if Esso sponsored the series again in 1992.
Super frustrating!!!!!
