MattC should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Porsche - the laziest stylists in the world?

Jeremy Clarkson may be right about Porsche having the laziest car design dept. in the world. Whether it's the 928 or latest 997 they don't seem to have advanced much beyond having an egg with headlights, lol.

Porsche babe

Interestingly, of all the marques of car, the only one that you immediately recognise by it's shape is the Porsche. All other IMO need a squint at the badge first.

They are easy to recognise, and don't even need a badge it's true, but where's the progress? Porsche is the Morgan of Germany, and even Morgan pull something different out of the bag every now and then (although admittedly the Aero 8 had a face only a mother could love).

At least Chris Bangle believed in change

Have a look at the new 4 door Porsche. If you search back to 1991-1992 you'll find Porsche was running prototypes of a 4 door Porsche and the car is almost identical to the new 2009 model.

Nothing worse than changing for the sake of changing and then taking a step backwards.

Using BMW analogy, I guess you say 911 should look like Nissan 300 theese days??

I guess if it works no need to change it but they really lack imagination.

The 911 has competed with the small Ferraris for many years, and the Ferrari 430 looks a lot different than the 308 GTB of 30+ years ago, yet most would still easily recognise the 430 as a Ferrari.

As for the new Panamera, this car doesn't look good, who on earth would buy this when they could have a Maserati Quattroporte, Audi S8 or Mercedes AMG for less money?
