British GP - Parking / Park & Ride / Staying for the weekend

Hi guys,

Help!

My British GP tickets have just turned up - (this is my first one by the way) - I know I order car parking tickets as we have weekend passes...thing is; there's only a 'pink' park & ride ticket (well, two of them) in the bumpf.

Since my plan was to sleep in the car at least, if not camp, over Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights - I assume this is of no fudging use to me whatsoever!? Anyone know in particular the rules are with the main parking space on the circuit? That's open all weekend right?

Should clarify, my question aint very specific...nor do I really even know what I'm talking about.

What do most people do when they stay at the circuit for the whole weekend?

Last time I camped, we parked the car next to the tent. That was about eight or ten years ago though!

If, like me, you're going on your own ( sad, I know ), then you won't have been given a camping pass, they only give them if you order 2 or more tickets. I found a couple of campsites outside the circuit that charge £20 or so a night because I can't camp at the circuit.

Hmmm, I have a set of two - but no camping pass or car pass or anything - just a pair of extra ticket for the Park & Ride which is worthless since the car park isn't opened until Saturday night.

Nothing wrong with going alone though - probably be a lot less hassle if I did myself!

Try camping at Litchlake Farm which is opposite the main entrance but beware, the site fills up during Saturday and it may be hard to get in if you arrive too late.

Campsites

Yeah, best bet is to get yourself a tent. Litchlake farm is definitely the closest one, and best, as you can take advantage of the fun fair and most importantly the beer tent that goes on to the early hours. The one way system kicks in early Friday morning, so make sure you get there for Thursday night at the latest.

I'm going on my own and camping at Litchlake - You pitch your tent next to the car... so no need for the car to move over the weekend at all
