Just filled in my Multy Preparers form so all being well our 10/10ths Marshals BBQ will get the green light again.Looking for suppliers of drinks please and some funds for the food. Over to you Fay ,let me know which evening is best.
BTW we thought we should have a quiz night after . WDYT.
Looking forward to it. Cheers Iain.

£50 contribution from me Iain. (Add it to my bill - just don't add the VAT as well!)

Hi Iain, thanks once again for laying on the BBQ for the marshals it is always greatly appreciated. Thanks also to all other drivers that contribute.

The BBQ will need to be Friday evening due to the late finish Saturday. Will let you know time once we see a timetable.

Friday for preference. Racing to a late finish Sat as Alan says.

On the Classic website it suggests qualifying on track until 19.30 Friday so we should be free c19.45.- depending upon whether we come straight from post or perhaps a little later if we wash and change into evening dress.

Whatever this will be most welcome after a long day on post.

Thanks to Delta and friends again.

Please count me +1 in on the numbers.

Sadly I don't think I will be able to make it as we will be departing for sunnier climes that w/e for the Morrison summer hols. However very happy to donate ale but warning to all you euro fizz boys it will be a barrel of proper ale i.e something which actually has a taste!!

Iain I will need a week's notice to organise delivery . It will be a "bright" beer and so ready for drinking immediately so no need to worry about it being shaken around a bit in the Delta lorry. However it will need keeping in the shade and drinking within 36 hours of opening. Boys do you think you can drink it before it turns?? : )

Friday would be good. I rather fancy Bonnie Tyler on Saturday! (To listen to of course, not what most of you perverts are thinking).

Ah - Bonnie Tyler, who was once memorably described by Mark Lamarr as "The blonde Welsh singer with the deep gravelly face"

I didn't realize that you were having a "do" at Brands, I could supply a barrel of Larkins if you think you could finish it !
Maybe it's too potent for you nippers !

With regard to 'Bob's Raffle', I can donate a few more items of memorabilia from my 'collection' (read accumulation), but while working at the Grand Prix I approached every team asking if the would care to donate items for the marshals.

This has proved very successful ....... if you wear a cap. So far I have not received anything I would care to offer as prize, I do not think
Quote:
a cap signed by both our drivers
is much of a response from a top team with multi million pound budgets, but perhaps I expect too much.
Actually (editing) Ferrari have donated a copy of the Marlboro Grand Prix Guide, something you can't buy and incredibly useful. Some teams have not yet responded so maybe ...............

I thought a tombola might work better than a raffle, as last year drawing out numbers got a little boring. So if you care to donate a bottle, clothing, memorabilia, night out with your missus, or any other items, they will be gratefully accepted, however, ...... you offer me another bl***y hat and I won't answer for the consequences.

I am happy to help with the quiz if needed, just bone up on 1950's motor sport.

See all there.

bauble.
