Here is a strange turn of events. Romano has done some fast talking here i think. But i think the loosers out of this will be Murphy and Kelly

TWR (Aust) Pty Ltd announced today it had entered into an agreement with Queensland based Holden Level One V8 Supercar franchise Team, Romano Racing.
This agreement provides that Romano Racing will engage TWR to conduct its Sponsorship and Racing services, with Romano Racing entering two cars in all races under the Kmart Racing name.

Additionally TWR will engage Romano Racing to provide racing services to ensure the Holden Racing Team continues its popular third car commitment
under the Holden Young Lions/HYL name.

Paul Romano will drive the HYL car.

In announcing this strategic alliance, TWR's John Crennan said this program was a very intelligent and progressive use of resources by both parties.

"It will provide higher levels of competitive performance by spreading central R & D investments over a larger range of Holden race cars. It will also lift the levels of professionalism that AVESCO is seeking to achieve in V8 Supercars.

It will be a classic win/win situation for everyone. It's good for Romano Racing and Paul Romano, it's good for Queensland having the HYL program in that state, it's good for such a key investor in the sport in Kmart, it's good for TEGA, it's good for AVESCO, it's good for Holden and it's good for TWR.

"Most importantly, it's good for Australian motorsport and its fans," Crennan concluded.

Well Holden have sort of lost out of late, numbers wise, so this is probably good for them too boost the ranks a little. Also Murph/Kelly wont loose out, this is on top of their efforts, and will be run out of Romano's workshop, so nothing is changed there. Also you would imagine Holden has a bit of spare cash, by not having Gibson/Lowndes on their books anymore.
