That we have to ask this stuff (I missed part of the race also) means the prime and option tyre thing DOES NOT WORK for the fans!!!

Well yes and no..It might work for folk who watched todays race, but for someone like me who is only gonna tune into tomorrow's coverage, you don't have a clue as to where anyone is at until the program starts..
Is there any other way to find out?

Poor Russell.

All over Garth, but never had a chance to have a crack at him thanks to Patrizi, Wood and Richards.

To use Skaife's words, Patrizi, Wood and Richards "Ruined the end of the race".

Also poor driving by Todd Kelly on Courtney.

Fool

So how many teams will now have someone watching the sight-glass at the back of the refueling rigs to double-check/confirm their 50 litres

other then them saying the first 7 cars were on options pretty much outside that i had NFI, except for 888 bolting them on at the stop and a few backmarkers like Bargs not using them but as far as i know top 7 used them from the get go and the other main contenders bolted them on. i don't know what Will Davison, Todd Kelly did i don't know whether they bolted them on or started with them.

how bad can FPR get both cars have got dismal resaults this year and their championship position shows this, they have been know for their poor strategies and pit-stops but surely this has to be their biggest blunder.

It doesnt auger well for the selling price if they cant get their act together and accumulate championship points! Oops, did I say that out loud?

I had to do a double take... I thought Mr Romano or Mr Thexton had returned!

The car looks almost naked without stickers on most of its flanks.

In my 40+yrs of going to the Plains I have never been so cold.
The pit area was worse than the spectator area as you could get behind the hill abit

havent seen TV coverage yet but it was pretty dark by the end of the race (probably wont show up on TV ), Brakes were showing pretty red in to turn 1, 888 cars glowed the most with Lowndes brakes seaming to glow the most and Wincup next.

Gr8 drive from Ingall !

have to agree there. i love Toddler but he did seem to want to barge JC off the road at 200 clicks. i like abit of rubbing but Todd did seem to turn left into JC about 4 times. i think a drive-thru should of been awarded.

It's in the interest of fairness that both races have the same regs, yes?
Why?

you stated an opinion, but realy havent supported it. why cant they use different qualifying structures, the races are different formats, why can qualifying

Maybe as punishment Todd should be forced to have FPR work out his strategy and perform his pitstops for the rest of the weekend.

Another beautiful morning in paradise, allbeit a little brisk with some frost and a little bit of fog. At 08:30 it was a nice 2 degrees with a QNH of 1040 hpa according to LT Aerodrome AWIS. Going for a maximum of 12 degrees and a variable wind of 5 knots.

Tends to blow the theory about global warming, obviously no one from that government department has ever been to Symmon's Plains!

Have to give Russel Ingall the drive of the day award, certainly would have been interseting with a safety car in the last 10 laps, likewise Steve Johnson put in a very respectable drive. Todd Kelly what was he thinking?

Team Vodafone put there effort down to swine flu?

Two things I did notice yesterday was the low crowd numbers and also the cutback in the number of corporate tents.

well if FPV/FPR are on the market as GTR is indicating, Maybe 888 could purchase it?

It's a win win.

888 get their Ford $$$ back and FPR get the 4 car team they want, plus A CLUE!

But could Roland and Ford kiss and make up?

Interesting, the stewards were not going to allow Ingal to participate in the shoot out for blocking Murphy. Murphy then went to the stewards to tell them it was not an issue - and that Murphy didn't have his lights on - so Russell should NOT be penalised.

Wonder if he would have done the same thing if had known about Russell's "wave".

suprisingly things are under way on time, considering at 8.30 you couldn't see from flag point to flag point, I have been here before and the fog hasnt lifted till 11 so very lucky !
Not as cold as yesterday and the sun is shinning through

Who has option tyres left

Just having a look at the odds and was wondering if any one knows who has option tyres unused and who have fresh ones.

Mr Courtney should have 3 clean ones
