Sheep Stations should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Grass fire at Syberia caused by Goodacre in GT3 going straight on with stuck throttle, one at turn 10 was Bobik having a big moment in qualifying going thru the fast kink. Hot exhausts on cut/slashed dry grass is always a problem here and at QR.

Roos are always on the move, it's like herding cats. There are roo and sheep warning signs to be displayed on point but often they come out too late because of how quick the animals appear from the surrounding bush.

And then you have to rely on race drivers to button off around the flagged area and open their eyes....yeah, right.

In almost the same place as Mr Kingsley's wreck last year. Hard to understand why it took over an hour to fix the metal armco. The front guard of the Porsche in the pic above was stuck between 2 rails...

The Swifts did a good job wrecking a similar armco on the infield, as Mr Jarvis turned his into a turtle, over and out...

Why hard to understand that it took an hour to fix the Armco?

5th gear and hard into the throttle heading towards Dandenong road, maybe 180 kmh to zero. Physics would dictate that it would take a while to clean up.

A front tub and plenty of bolt on parts and Kane will be back in no time.

Was watching the event on itvlive... there were 2 workers and 20 watchers... hence my question of taking an hour to fix...

No-one seems to have noticed that Stuart Kostera has wrapped up the Australian Production Car Championship too.

Commodore Cup: #1 Adam Beechey
Sports Sedans: #5 Tony Ricciardello
V8 Touring Cars: #49 Terry Wyhoon

After looking at the 2012 calendar how do they manage to have a race meeting clashing with another one on the same weekend:

2011 - PI NAtionals & Sandown Historics
2012 - Sandown Nationals & Island Magic

both are long standing Victorian events, held on the same weekend each year for YYYEEEAAARRRSSS!!!!

Not only that, but the Phillip Island round on the last week-end of May clashes with Winton Historic, a meeting that has been run on that week-end for at least 30 years. Really, what are they thinking. We have 52 week-ends in a year and nobody these days wants to get together to plan their calendars to avoid clashes. It seems that these days everyone has their own agenda regardless of the consequences.
This makes it tough for everyone - spectators, marshalls, media.
It's just plain ridiculous!

Ricciardello wrapped up Sports Sedans months ago. And you forgot Superkarts.
Warren McIlveen won his eighth championship and his seventh in 250 International class after mechanical dramas crulled Darren Hossack's run.
Former Ute series racer Luke May won 250 National, and Jeff Reed won 125cc. Second titles in Superkart racing for both, but first in a gearbox equipped Superkarts.

This year was number 35 and it's always been held on the last weekend in May except one year when the V8's pinched that weekend out from under them.

When they feel it's appropriate. These dates are still fluid. Most are still closing in on the right dates.
