Kia after car builder

Kia are looking at VLR, WSR, RML, Edenbridge and Prodrive are all in contention to build the new Kia ETCC challneger for 2004, with a few races towards the end of 2003 possibly. The manufacturer will use its Schumi model.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
West Surrey Racing run MGs in Britain though, does that mean they are quitting at the ens of 2003, when the current programmme comes to an end?

Not really a suprising annoucenment??? It's a surprise for me, I never heard that Kia wants to built a race program in Europe.

Where have you been then??? Been common knowledge for ages!!

Alfa Fan - Prodrive are also linked to this programme, and they run the Volvos! Which seems strange, either Volvo want a new team to run the cars, or they're giving up?

Kia do need to shed this tacky budget car image, and how do they prov they're cars have meat? race them, and let everyone see that they are strong and can fight the cra of the crop. For a compnay like Kia it maes every sence.

Has Kia been the rumored but never officially announced "Korean manufacturer" that had been seeking to race in the BTCC these past 5-7 years?? Or could it be Hyundai, Daewoo or all of the above?

I've heard the Korean manufacturer LG electronics (main sponsor of the ETCC)would like to have a Korean team in this series, possibly in 2004.
