I love racing more than anything in the world and there is only one more race left in the WC season this year and then the longest three months in every year of my life,this sucks horribly and i can't go racing yet,man oh man this sucks.

This is where Australia comes in. They should capitalize on the nice weather and promote a off-season motorsports series.

They have done this in the past (not sure if they still do), mainly with Sprintcar and drag racing series'. They usually managed to get a few big names from the States to go down and compete, which made it interesting. There was even a time early in the Auscar/Nascar days when they managed to get Kenny Schraeder (maybe Terry Labonte too?) down during the summer.

world sprintcar series started last weekend. donny schatz is competing in it, plus 1 or 2 other americans....think donny finished top 5 in world of outlaws

its a pity nascar in oz finished 4 or 5 years ago, cause i remember going to a few rounds at calder park, and yes terry labonte was there, they were some great saturday night racing for fans during our summer

maybe with the billions that nascar make (i heard that on this forum) they could flog some of there cars cheaply and get them down here , wishful thinking

The NASCAR boys need some time. They already run more races than other series. But I too am addicted & have a hard time getting through the off season. I rely heavily on tapes & I thought that I would take this time to learn about other forms of racing. (I made that promise to a friend) So I plan to hit the library for some books.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
