Well that didn't take long... Down to 12 P2s, Caterham have stopped sponsoring Greaves after not getting a LM spot - pity, but not unexpected. Hope we don't see too many of these but won't be too surprised if a couple more struggle.

caterham supporting greaves seemed like a bit of a weird one commercially in the first place with alpine having a car on the grid.

Let’s not forget that Greaves’ business model is rider-seller, often on a race-by-race basis, which by definition makes them among the most questionable of ELMS entries, especially after Le Mans. (See ELMS 2013 as an example.)

The Autosport article announcing that Caterham was pulling their entry contains this quote:

Well hopefully the racing wasn't (and won't be) unpleasant! The intermittent rain at Le Mans last year wasn't very nice, either.

Nothing like sloshing through the mire to get to a good vantage point.

The third, yet-to-be-announced driver for the LM24 DSC mentions has to be a gentleman/am driver, correct? Or else it wouldn't comply with the LMP2 driver regulations...

Christian Zugel is the only one I can think of immediately.

Correct. Dyson and Kimber-Smith are both rated as gold, so Greaves needs a bronze or silver driver for Le Mans and ELMS. Or at least two bronze or silver drivers if they run two cars in the ELMS.

Bertolini, Zlobin, and Shaitar to drive SMP GTE Ferrari in the ELMS. However, that doesn't reflect the Le Mans entry given the latter already have seats in the FIA WEC LMP2 program.

this is very promising, given that the little details they did with the paint job last year were spot on. bodes well for some well-designed modifications.

mind you, you could paint a cow pat that blue, bung some orange flashes on it and it'd still look magnificent.

i'd be more impressed with the alpine brands commitment to the sport if they'd have ponied up for a season in wec for the elms title winning car this year but it's nice to see they're getting into it a bit with 2 cars and some custom tweaks.

Seems like the second Signatech entry is maybe no longer happening.

The LM snub is blamed, but you have to wonder how much of the funding was actually in place prior to the entrylist coming out. I'd guess not much.

Looks like Oliver Webb could come into the team. Seems they've prized him (and his cash) away from OAK.

Jota have just leaped to the top of the favorites list for the LMP2 crown this year in the ELMS: their third driver for the full ELMS (but not for Le Mans) is...

Alongside Dolan and Ticknell? Strong indeed.

Hoping we see two Signatech cars, but pull outs for cars with no LM entry is hardly unexpected. Wonder if they had a possible partner that pulled out or they were intending to use the LM spot to entice someone to spend with them.

Signatech had a speculative second entry for Le Mans last year too. I'd guess it's the latter.

Let's be honest here: It is easier to attract paying drivers to ELMS if a seat at Le Mans is also included. So the future growth of ELMS in P2 and GTE depends in no small part on to what degree the ACO increases the garage/grid capacity there.
