HSCC Finals (Siverstone)

The last outing of the season for majority of HSCC competitors. Think 'last day of term' atmosphere....

Excellent weekend - if you discount how cold it was in the wind all weekend. Something to hold the attention in all the races. Thanks to all competitors and marshals from the spectator banking.

Agree.
Good racing and big entries in most series.
Coldest I've been at Sillystone in many a year.

I was there, took part in my first ever race in the white TVR 3000m that I built myself, did an excellent job as a back marker!

Well done.

Haven't seen a Clan Crusader racing (or at all) for a fair while.

An underrated car, I think.

Last one I saw was a troublesome white one at the 360mrc 6 hour race about 6 years ago that Richard Murtha ("Alfaholic") was driving.

Thanks Andy,
Re Clan Crusaders, yes I recall the name back in the day but haven't seen one for years.

Pretty sure that was Pete Richards' car.
From the Clan club website:
"Pete Richards has raced the same Clan in over 200 events in the last 20 Years!"

so a well-known car that is not shy about appearing on the tracks.

It's the same car that attempted the 6 hours two years running. It was red then and one year Richard was there as a helper. His co-driver in the Future Classics, Steve Jay, was one of the drivers. We had some problems both years but did in fact start on time one year and finished the second year, unfortunately the wrong way round.
