That proviso is generally true of all clubs at all meetings. however, very few are ever so fully subscribed that they have to turn marshals away (Goodwood FoS & Revival meetings being exceptions to this!).
For the BTCC meetings, I'd have thought you'd have nothing to worry about. The GP Masters is a first running in the UK, so I can't guess how subscribed it is with marshals. Therefore if you are that concerned, I suggest you drop a line to the BARC marshals secretary Sara Wernham. Steve |

I didn't get any such messages back about my application for Grand Prix Masters - that would kind of suggest that it's either the BTCC, or some other factor.

These events are a long way off yet and confirmation of requirement is to a long way off, usually 1-2 weeks before the event your tickets will come through. Stiggy, if you email Sara she should be able let you know if she got your volunteering form or not. It also depends on when you volunteered...it usually takes about a week or so for your availability stuff to come through to say she got it.
All events usually run on the "thank you but we can't promise we'll need you" basis. However as has been said most events with the exception of the Goodwood ones are never over subscribed and take as many marshals as they can get. |

I think the reason you didn't get the note about selection is that you got your volunteering form in nice and early. Sara may not have known how popular the event was going to be then so didn't see the need to include the note with your confirmation sheet.
