It is does appear that the driver had a heart attack.

My condoleances to the family. It was a very sad end to an otherwise good weekend.

My father and I have known David since his days in the AMOC. Very much a gentleman driver who will be sadly missed.

Condolences to his family.

I, too, had seen David race often in AMOC meetings. A very sad loss - condolences to all members of his family.

I've spent many happy hours marshalling HSCC races, to hear of this loss amogst their ranks is very sad. Sincere condolences to all his friends and family.

I send my condolences to family but also to the team.

I was a marshall on beckets and a couple of the team members came down to the point to see when they may have access to the car. I really felt sorry for the guys sat there waiting..

Jules Heynes should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those in the motor racing fraternity who have sent their condolences. They have all helped us at this extremely difficult time. It has been some comfort that at least Dad was doing the thing he loved among friends.
We would like to be able to contact personally the marshals who tried to help him trackside, so if anyone knows how we can do this please let us know.

Jules - to let you know that we are all thinking of you at this time.
I would suggest one way to do it for your last request would be to contact Silverstone and ask to speak to the Marshals Administrator Pam Dearn who works there full time. She oversees all the marshals and even for the GP I believe she does the postings and will probably be able to help you with who attended to your dad - or at least put you in contact with the right person.
Take Care.
