Of course NZ ran two events a week apart for many years and before that three events on consecutive weekends that were well attended.

Thanks for the history lesson, but it is utterly irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

It may demonstrate that the scheduling is not the issue but the desire to attend two meetings back to back is lacking.

Many sports run events weekly and no-one is suggesting such scheduling dilutes attendance.

Just wondering how you feel about the final round of 2 Australian motor racing (both cars) championships being on the same weekend in different venues?

Seems Tony Quinn is being very aggressive with Australian Motorsport categories

Pecky, you quite often put forward questions with vague references expecting us to know what you are on about. Sorry, but I don't know which 2 Australian Motor Racing Championships you are referring to - how about more specific info instead of expecting us to read your mind?

You mention TQ, so I am assuming you are referring to this weekend where 2 Australian championships are being finalised on 2 days at Highlands (GT Sprint, and GT Endurance), and the fact that Shannons Nationals are also on this weekend, with the Sports Sedans and Proddy Cars having their final rounds. That means 4 championships are being settled this weekend, and I have no problems with that. Neither is being televised; they will draw spectators from 2 completely different populations, and there isn't really a driver conflict involved.

4 then , was referring to Aust Gt champs and Aust Production Cars though . Or particularly to those two events.

But my question was to DRT who was unable to separate those final things you mentioned in his comment?

I'm at a loss here, what point are you making? How are either events/championships effected by being on the same weekend 2000kms from each other?

Im just after his opinion? As he had an issue, which i have quoted, a few posts back.

you are at a loss because the question was not to you. it was too DRT

No, I'm at a loss because I cannot even garner a smidgeon of relevancy there is to your seemingly nonsensical post.

I will add though that two weeks ago Jack Perkins was racing in the Australian Championship GT3 enduro, but he cant this weekend ebcause he is racing in the Aust Sports sedans championship. If they were on separate weekends he could have raced in both
