The decathlon store is not near the first chicane, it's near the Antares tramstop, on the other site of the track/hunaudieres straight. It is big.

Near the first chicane is on the inside of the track an industry park with among others a McDonalds, and a Leroy Merlin DIY store. This is an enormous store and rather cheap as I found out last year when looking for tarpaulin to weatherproof my Carrefour gazebo. There is also a Lidl supermarket. On the outside of the track is a newish (3-4 years old) shopping mall with an electronics outletlike shop called Electrodepot and a lot of other, but not very Le Mans Camping like shops. http://www.familyvillageleshunaudier...outiques-.html

Yes but there is one on your road to Le Mans at La Bazoge just before Saint Saturnin : http://www.ouestfrance-auto.com/pro/slc-carre-72-1877/

Try this place, it's a new bed and breakfast in town http://lemansbb.wix.com/latruiebb

It was our first time last year and finding the campsite was pretty difficult, the roads around the circuit were a nightmare. Stayed at Dairon.

Staying at Houx this year, does anyone have directions on the best way on to the site? If the roads are closed for test/qualifying, can you still get on to the site?

does anyone have a decent map? The ones I have seen and printed off are fine in theory, but dont seem to resemble reality when your there!

Depends on when you are arriving, but if you are on Houx then getting there is easy, firstly ignore all the diversion signs and just head for the big carrefore the signs are always there and once you find it the road heads straight for tertre rouge corner, go under the motorway and then follow the directions to the left then turn right down a little slope side road on to the road turn right again under the track and follow the road direct to houx.

If you do need help getting to the hypermarket then the beast route is the ring road once south of Le mans keep on the road until you see the signs for the supermarket, they never change.

Follow the little green signs with VERT written on it, those will always get you to Houx.
It might sometimes be a little detour but I consider it the best way to get there at any time and especially when you'r not formiliar arround the track.

Following the green signs will take you all over the place, The Carrefore is easy to find (advertising and directions everywhere) and once there it is a straight road

Yes it is. And its address is Chemin aux Boeufs, the same road on which Houx is located.
