Any chance of more than 12 cars next year? A shame to see the damage Mr Nilsson and co did to this countries touring car scene.

Brovallen aiming for 2 cars, no mention of what manufacturer but it wont be Ford, and no mention of drivers, but it wont be Rasmus Mårthen.
Kia's. One or two. If they can find the budget.

Calling it TCR would confirm WTCC failed.

Brink Motorsport will bring two Audi's next year with Tobias Brink and Micke Olsson as drivers.

According to CEO of STCC Jonas Lundin there are more teams that has come far in their plans and could probably soon announce them. Some of the already confirmed teams are also thinking about entering more cars.
https://www.stcc.se/2016/12/21/brink...tsning-i-stcc/

The last few years have been so boring. But now with the grid growing and the end of the one-make cars, I will for sure follow the next season with interest.

KMS is thinking about STCC but nothing official from the team right now of what they are going to do next season. Johan Kristoffersson has his mind set on rallycross but guessing he will do some races in STCC as he did last season if he gets the possibility.

I saw the WRX calendar and... there will be three concomitances between WRX and STCC, unfortunately it will be very difficult to see Johan fighting for the title...

If he could fight for the title though I would tip him as champion. An amazing driver and maybe even the best overall driver in WRX.

Emma Kimiläinen comfirmed on Instagram that she will be racing in 2017. She did not mention for which team and in which series she will drive, but I don´t expect her to be back at PWR Racing. But my hope is to see her in STCC again. Maybe with LMS Racing?

Looks like it's in a Volkswagen.

Edit: With Lestrup apparently.

I doubt LMS has a budget on their own, and that Emma has enough sponsors to buy a seat.

Little rumor has that the Finndrive Management could participate in the STCC TCR this year with two Audi RS 3 LMS cars.

And that's even before considering the extra crash budget needed to put that driver in a racing car.

Definitely four cars for PWR, Peter Wallenberg will be in and there will be a junior team.

Also some very encouraging words RE the overall health of the series:

Quote:
We are experiencing an enormous pressure from drivers that want to race in the STCC. That is why we have taken the decision to run three programmes within the frame of PWR Racing.
