Gilham could step in.

Interesting that they didn't chose to prepare the spare shell I thought they had? I'm sure the chasis master redshoes can explain!

Collard swicthes chasis too according to TCT, so a lot of damage...

Not surprised, that was a lot of damage to the car and it is probably best to err on the side of caution with his injuries. I too hope he comes back, he hasn't done too bad, despite not getting any points, although he's been close a couple of times

Yep, TOCA have quite rightly accepted it as Force Majure. Still hope Burns can find a budget for next season

Does anyone know the total number of penalties for each driver this year, and anyone (apart from Sutton) who is one strike away?

I think the only other driver on three strikes is Jake Hill.

Although there are still some outstanding judicial matters from Silverstone that the stewards will be looking at before Brands, so that could change.

Sutton has obviously been benefiting from that. Would he have go the same results without TOCA's meddling? I don't know; maybe he would have done, but that's always going to be at the back of mind.
Cole's win basically came from him getting pole in some freak circumstances, and then having Sutton behind him to protect him from being challenged by a faster car.

Sutton is fast... certainly one of the top five drivers in the BTCC right now, so he definitely should be up there.

Can't believe we're having discussions about Sutton's talent or claim to the title. What a joke.

The guy was epic in Clio Cup, won in an MG shed and absolutely thrashed JP in his first season of RWD tin-tops. Legend.

He's taken advantage of the car he has and has got the results in he needs. That's how champions are made.

Can someone explain to me how Will Burns' situation is Force Majure but Luke Devenport's was not?

Force majeure applied in both cases, but only for one round. Motorbase missed one round (with that entry), HARD are doing the same. It's just that in this case 'one round' and 'remainder of the season' are the same thing

For those wanting to watch live qualifying on Saturday, it would seem as though it has been brought forward to 15.05.

And on Sunday, the live programme on ITV 4 may or may not be starting at 10.15 - BTCC website differs from ITV's which is showing start at 10.30.

Whatever, the forecast is for rain on and off all day on Sunday. Should add further spice to what promises to be a cracking (obviously, not literally) set of races.

Thanks for this Mike, I'll have to alter my schedule. As my Missus is out working on Sunday I'm planning to get my eyes almost square before she gets home from first watching The Malaysian Grand Prix and then The BTCC races. Hopefully I'll have enough time during the adverts (and support races) to mow the lawn, attend to the washing up, cook dinner and all of the other chores I'll be left with!
