I'm just interested what happens with Ma from here? Tbh, his pace was much better than expected even considering all the old-GP2 testing. May be back to F3 or GP3?

Hmmm, funny that. Just goes to show that we can't take anything for granted with this series anymore.

So Frijns in for Daly at Hilmer, Rossi in for Ma at Caterham. Any news on who is going to be driving the Trident machines this weekend?

You guys expecting Rossi in at Caterham for the rest of the year might want to cool your jets. This whole thing looks like a gift for Rossi stepping out of the FP1 drive in Bahrain, plus a bit of rest and further conditioning for Hua before the season really hits.

Didn't the press release say that Rossi was in for the season?

I reckon Hua has been dropped by Caterham. They could have slotted Rossi into Canamasas' seat instead.

I bet his options got somewhat limited He was some local touring car champ last season and they got massively over excited, thus all the talk about Chinese car manufacturer involvement, but after FP1 they landed on planet Earth.

To be fiar to the guy the current Caterham F1 machine is a total dog. Once again in China Pic and VdG had no confidence in what it would do from corner to corner. No reason to expect Ma would've found it any easier.
Plus, Ma did quite a lot better in his GP2 weekend than most were expecting.
He isn't a talentless hack, he's just been pushed a little too quickly.

Since Frijns GP2 Deal was only for Bahrain and his results were not stellar thanks to Richelmi ruinning his race in Race 1 by crashing into him, Who do we think is going to replace Frijns at Hilmer for Spain? Conor Daly can't return because he's signed up to do GP3 for another year with ART, so what other options are out there for Hilmer?

I don't think Hilmer will boot him on the basis of his performance in Bahrain. I know the intention was for him to do the whole season but it depends whether someone with a bag full of cash comes along to replace him.

Jon Lancaster replaces Pal Varhaug at Hilmer for Round 3 in Spain, hopefully Frijns has kept his seat for Barcelona
