Well somebody was listening, or just coincidental timing...
the BRSCC page has changed sometime this morning, now has provisional timetable up..

http://www.brsccnw.com/TT_OultonPark..._09%5B1%5D.pdf

18:25 finish for last race according to that timetable.

Just need tickets etc now

I don't know about these but Margaret said on Saturday that the tickets for the BARC meeting next Saturday would be in the post yesterday so I'm sure Alistair will be doing similar.

Ah , cool, should be plenty of time for them to wing their way through the post then.

Could be 'interesting' on track if the weathers like this w/end just gone, pouring rain,oh, wait, sunshine, oh wait pouring rain, no, no, hang on ,sunshine....

Ah, thanks for the update, I'll keep checking the page for the new timetable. Any big changes (earlier/later start/finish times etc?) I'm guessing we'll be on post fairly early if the first quali session is 08:30 !

Got em
Does the "no vehicles admitted before 7AM" apply to marshals as well? Just I'm thinking it might be a bit tight with the first quali starting at 08:30, what time will we need to be on post (and I desperately need to throw a full breakfast down my neck on arrival - but it says chequers opens at 07:30..!)

Don't panic! We've had plenty (too many!) of 8:30 starts & everybody's managed to sign on & get on post in time for the first practice session.

No point in arriving before 7AM - you won't be able to sign on or, should you be so inclined, get a breakfast.

Wait until you get your marshals final instructions and all will be reveiled.

Had a good day yesterday, first time on Deer Leap and enjoyed it, good post & good company. Highlights of the day were the driver who before lunch had 'run out of talent' (his own admission whilst waiting on the bank with us), in the latter race of the afternoon, going wide on the exit , keeping his foot in and getting it back together, nice driving!

The much vaunted torrential rain turned out to be some tiny spots, only about 5 mins of anything worth mentioning, tho it did send a fair few Caterhams giddy
Oh and I finally got to steer & change gear in a Caterham, pity it was only from the outside of the rollcage, but hey, it's a start !

Enjoyed getting involved with the start & finishes as well, always good to learn new stuff..

and the main thing I learnt...it's not over till it's over
(please, no one say the "fat lady sings" - Deer Leap crew will know what I mean!)

I had a VERY busy day at Knickerbrook - lots of stuff going on, fortunately nothing major. Maybe somebody should explain to the drivers that the chicane is that wiggly bit of track, not the plastic barriers. . .

A lot of factors - a great team, including an excellent trainee IO (you know who you are!), decent weather, close (occasionally too close!) racing, etc., combined to make this one of my best ever days' marshalling; more of the same, please!

i second that dave about the IO
also seeing how many people we had on the post and how many not so experienced marshals we had it went really well
good team work all around

as urgente said before, its never over till the fat lasy sings, one of the back markers, last race as the flag was out binned fairly well into deer leap. considering the driver realised he was 200 yards from finishing he was in quite a good mood. even when his mate who was filming right were he went in admitted the camera battery ran out the lap before. i think it was more worrying that when ken came to recover him he was on first name terms.

good day, some good racin, as always brilliant laugh, always is with ian clarke on post. hope the trainees we got in the afternoon enjoyed it and came back, it was really nice to have two people really eager and interested to learn on post.

great day except for (no-one else has said it but i'm not shirking!!!) why on earth didn't the R300's & R400's race together after practicing together? sorry but IMHO 8 cars for a 30 minute race is taking the you know what!

Two reasons I can think of:

R300 drivers wanted the chance of a race win, not just a class win.
R400 drivers didn't want to be beaten by 'slower' cars'.

Eight cars for a 30 minute race is still better than ten cars for a four hour race . . .
