Alexis Sports Racers

It is my understanding that there were 2 built. I don't know much more at this point, but here is a picture of them if I can get the photo to post.....

Regards, Scott

there is a tub reportedly from one of these cras for sale - trouble is with a 1300 engine and up against the Gp 4 cars it will be quite outclassed (even in class its going to be against all the twinkie engined cars) this is why the 100 series never really took off in period. I think there is better racing for them in States given most seem to end up there

The other downside is that I don't think you can get an HTP for them to use Internationally. Appendix K requirement is for an International Formula and if my memeory serves me right they were a John Webb Brands Hatch inspired national series. I recall there was a rumpus inside the HSCC some years ago when they approached them to run the cars and the purists were very anti accepting them.
They were pretty though , one of the Alexis I feel sure ended up in a lock up in Chalk Farm owned by a mad ginger Scot called Stevie something but that was more than thirty years ago.

The Body from the Alexis cars have a body - same as the Daren MK2 - only
the fins on the rear are missing !
Have the Alexis a monocoque or a tube frame ?

Jeremy how does the Nerus F100 which is being touted around at the moment have FIA papers?

Karl, I don't think the body is the same as the Daren Mk2. They look similar but at first glance the Alexis looks a lot longer from the front wheel forward to the nose and the rear end looks quite a lot different. I've sent you quite a lot of photos of my Daren so I hope you can spot the differences.
