Gaz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sad, sad day. Kevin might not have been the quickest but he was a guy I always cheered for as he had a passion for racing and was doing something he loved.

This puts into perspective any argueing about anything to do with racing thats gone on over recent weeks. I'm not sure I want to go to Thruxton tomorrow now. Rest In Peace Lloydy - you were a top man

I got to know Kevin pretty well but sadly didn't get to see him to talk to this year-always had time to tlak about his love of motorsport and the TCR team. A lovely man and irreplaceable. As above, he'll be sadly missed

Although I didn't know him, to lose anybody in this sport is dreadful. My condolences to Kevin's family and friends.

Absolutely tragic news It's awful to lose a racer, and somehow even worse when it's someone who obviously loved his motorsport so much. My condolences to his family anf friends, and rest in peace, Kevin.

A terribly sad day and my sympathies go to Kevin's family and friends as well as the marshals and rescue teams who were on the scene at Thruxton.

A true gent who will be sadly missed.

Gutted. A real enthusiast and a very friendly nice guy as well. My thoughts to Kevin's friends, families, team and the marshalls at Thruxton.

RIP Lightweight

Paul Millard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This last year I have had the great pleasure of meeting Kevin Lloyd, as a marshal I would often wander around the paddock after sign on and Kevin was always about. Myself and some friends spoke to him on Saturday morning and said hi he replied with the same cheerful response as ever. It is still hard to accept that 8 hours later he suffered an accident which meant he was sadly taken from us far too soon. I noticed on the Sunday that whilst some Clio drivers had gone home out of respect some were carrying for lightweight stickers on their cars. Like everyone else I offer my heartfelt condolences to a great man. My only comfort that I can take form the tragic event is that he loved his motor sport and that I have had the pleasure of watching him doing it. I have no doubt that Renault will do something to remember him and I only hope the gesture is as big as Kevin’s heart was. Kevin you are truly missed and rest in peace.
Thinking of you and your family

I can only really echo the thoughts above. RIP.

It was nice to see Motorsport News and Autosport dedicating a page to Kevin. He will be sadly missed.

I have also just read the obituary in Autosport - it is awful when anyone is killed - but it is such a shame when it is someone who obviously was such a genuinely nice guy and loved the sport just because. I suppose that is the only thing that despite the cliche - he died doing something he enjoyed. A very sad day.
My deepest condolences to his family.

My thoughts are with his family, friends and the motor racing world.

Rest In Peace.

I just caught the end of Motorsport UK on Motors TV and they said there would be a tribute to Kevin Lloyd in a few weeks time. Not sure if it was a repeated programme and it has been shown but I just thought some of you may be interested. Sorry if this is old news but I don't know who Kevin Lloyd was and hadn't heard of him until this thread was started.
