Although. I would have further to walk to get you ice creams and pig roast, and have you thought that marg would not be there to give you cake.

But I did offer, and it's the thought that counts. Besides I risked live and limb crossing a live track for your baccky.

What's this? Rescue turning down the offer of food??? well i'm shocked, lol. Well when all is said I'm sure that if you said the word CAKE to Rescue, or certain members of it, at any other Hill apart from Shelsey then they would snap you up on the idea of it. lol.

To be fair no one can beat Marg's cake. I was priviledged to sample a piece of this fine cake and I don't think that any Ice Cream or Sarnie's could ever beat the fine culinary skills of Marg.

Black X would you agree???

Dont tell anyone else, I had some cake on the Rescue Unit on Saturday but somehow it didnt get eaten, so guess where it ended up ???

Have you learnt yet how control scramble rescue. It goes something like "WARM AND DRY - CAKE, CAKE, CAKE"

You know I'm not even going to comment, just remember your in the unit this weekend, I'm marshalling. It's going to be some time before JB can wreek in revenge on me, with his little rescue games, they were good though and very informative. (just incase you read this JB) x But going back to the post tools of the trade it would make more sense for rescue to be posted at bottom s as cars more than likely are to be sloted there, and we have got the tools to help. Just a passing comment.

That would be good... but then you would always eat my cake and it wouldn't be saved for special occasions.

Yes my finger is almost better now, so I will hopefully be able to work correctly and not like a wimp. I did find what you did usefull, but knowing you you'll move it all round like supermarkets so you cant find anything and will have to put in all back in it's rightfull place. Yes I went to the hospital yesterday and they promtly injected me with a hugh needle inbetween the bones of my hand...................... and I promtly collasped. x

Since food seems to have a surprisingly high importance on hill-climbs, I thought I'd split some discussion out of other threads and into it's own spotlight. Shelsley in particular has a large range of quality outlets - Pam's wonderful breakfasts and dinners, Alan's Bacon and Brie, Marg's cake and the Rescue unit's mobile catering...!

Tonight, of course, is the annual Loton Park pig-roast. I can almost hear the merriment from here.
