I think it was just some extracted statement from local motor sports magazine. No real plans or actions to be taken, just some "wouldn't it be nice" talks.

I follow all the series down there as best I can and it's nothing like it used to be 20-40 years ago with factory teams, cigarette money and regular international races. The past 10 years have really been a struggle with sparse sponsorship, erratic series and event management and many of the cars are old. The production car championship was fun to watch and they were putting the races on youtube this year and then took them down for some reason.

Sounds like he is just going to drive it for the start of the race and then let someone take over from there .

That's what it sounds like. But of course, he still has got his day job to do that day. It's not like he would be "doing the double" but it's probably as close to that as it gets.

It'll take some time to get used to the rear wing but at least the front wing is something most of us have wished for.
