Someone asked Dagys on Twitter about the Camaro GT4. Sounds like it's still a go, likely debut at St. Pete w/ Blackdog:

Doing DTM this year. That should be pretty much a full-time gig.

Kaffer was WRT associated last year but not an Audi factory man

My figuring is Audi are due to employ some more factory drivers in GT3 this year.

Porsche have built up a vast squad of factory men, Audi don't really have any stand outs in my eyes.

Vanthoor was their guy, as Estre was to McLaren. Now Audi seem to be lacking exciting new talent other than Dries Vanthoor

Ah, okay. I didn't realize that. WRT ride threw me off.

Who's actually on Audi's GT3 roster these days?
Mies, Haase...?

Could this have been JT Coupal? He seems to have connections to PWC TC regulars BERG Racing. (He co-drove a SEAT at Dubai with BERG's John Weisberg)

Mies, Haase...?

As far as I can figure, there is currently only 4 GT factory drivers for Audi... having lost Rast and Vanthoor for this year. Not enough for the amount they do so wouldn't be surprised to see some new hires-

Mies, Haase, Stippler, Winklehock.

That's it currently I think...

Fassler is now free to run GT's I guess although he's meant to be doing a bit of corvette work

Frijns, Dries Vanthoor, Nico Muller regularly run at WRT but aren't factory drivers (well Muller is a factory guy but for DTM)

rockenfeller also dabbles in GT but he's unlikely to feature in many races outside of DTM

Robin Frijns is treated as a factory guy so wouldn't be suprised if he is one this year

Eduardo Mortara ran the big races but has left for Mercedes DTM

Laurens Vanthoor was their real gun driver but has left for Porsche

Rene Rast who was their other big hitter has gone to DTM leaving him limited space for a few GT runs this year

Oliver Jarvis went for a Bentley factory spot

Anyway, I reckon Audi is short a man or two

I think Frijns may actually be a factory pilot now, based on the JAMEC-PEM Bathurst press release and a Sportscar365 article from Sepang:

In that case, id like to see him or maybe Dries Vanthoor in the Magnus car.

Mies is too busy, Haase I don't overly rate

Bit OT, but if you are a quick young driver with a budget, this could be a very good year to buy yourself a few Audi drives instead of throwing it all at GP2.....

Hello All, I am new to this site. first post. Can someone clarify for me the Sprint X classes? Are GTS cars able to compete in Sprint X races? They did last year. This year I see them listed as their own class on the five Sprint X weekends. Will they be in the two driver race format or just the single driver sprint races?

Thank you,
Kevin

Welcome to the forum!
Sprint-X is set have GT (with Pro, Pro/Am & full Am subdivisions), GT Cup & GTS
GTS has it's own full season schedule of normal Sprint races, but they are also eligible to run in Sprint-X.
This article clarifies it pretty well:

More (not so) self explaining stuff re scoring points, titles and organizing body switch:

I for one find it hard to see much simplification there....

Points system change is really good news. Old system was way too complex.
