That remains to be seen but it is a different car

In theory it should be blisteringly quick....

Right, that looks like fun. Won't make as nice a noise, though, and I'm not sure that he can charge it at Shelsley at the same time as Pam is cooking!

Wonder if we need to cover electric vehicles in the next training day?

Apparently charging is all taken care of by other means and we need to research electric vehicles ourselves before we can advise at training days

Seriously though..........Its not a bad idea to get some information on it as it could be usefull....

When I first started work at British Aerospace the company fire brigade used electric Lister trucks on the Preston factory site. They were supposed to be fully charged overnight so that the firemen could "race" to the scene of an incident - race was a relative term seeing as they trundled along at walking pace when loaded with equipment and crew. I suspect that there will be more suitable Eco Vehicles available now-a-days.

Graemes Electric Car

For those of you that don't know the predator is up for sale (someone with lots of money please buy so we can still have it on the hills) and Graeme is planning on competing in an electric car next year. All the links are on the 2t4t website.

Stupid question maybe ... what class will he be entered in since he effectively has 0 cc??

This has already been the subject of much discussion elsewhere but the answer is "the Over 2 Litre Racing Car class".

I did ask if someone fitted say three electric motors would that equate to a 2 litre, would two motors equate to a 1600 and one to an 1100? i am still awaiting a reply!!!

I suspect both the Predator and the new BeeFour electric car are going to keep us talking for quite some time.

As the Predator is being sold, I've split talk of the new machine off into it's own thread, so we wander off in that direction and also talk about the Predator without the two conversations tripping over each other.

Good point. A thought meandered across my mind. I wonder if it will interfere with Radio Comms, Timing systems or PA systems? All of which can be a bit fragile at some venues?

Old Vauxhalls interfere with Radio Coms, and nearly everything interferes with timing. Could be interesting. Should it come to a halt, abrupt or otherwise, I think I shall refrain from touching it until he's got one foot on the tarmac and I know there'll be no nasty discharges. Well, other than the usual verbal ones!

I could think of a few other "nasty discharges" other than verbal ones from the driver!

It'll be good to see the name again - on something more interesting than that Rover some years ago.

Shame it won't sound like the V16 though!

Even better than the V10. Question is, if the engine's making no noise, will we hear him swearing on the way up. Might need to increase the volume of the commentary.

Oh, no, maybe not, that's you now, isn't it?!

There is too much talk about "interference" here Lol
We dont need cars to send the timing bonkers at Craigantlet.

Rubery Owen who own the BRM brand name are partners in the project so one would assume that would be a YES.
