Healthy grids too by all accounts. I think I managed to get the last slot in Group 1. 32 Cars entered. No doubt some reserves too.

Any of you GP 1 or Classic saloon boys fancy entering the Ingear Saloons as a bit of extra fun? (The new sponsors are Track & Race Cars Magazine and there should be an article & pictures for the August issue).
Racing is clean in this championship with a good broad mix of cars so why not give it a go?

Jason.

There's the Pirelli Touring Car Trophy visiting but I assumed they would be the Super Touring Cars on the timetable.

Thanks garry. Found their website - www.vege-series.nl - looks like the same cars used by T-cars and Irish Supercars. Hopefully closer to the tail happy Irish series than the UK kiddie-fest.

Looks like this could be an interesting weekend.

Sunbeam73,

Yup I'll be there both days hopefully (my engine saga continues). Your old car won't be at Snett although my old Sunbeam may be. As I understand it, Ian is having the Sunbeam prepped ready for the next outing.

Another great weekend. The Vege boys were entertaining, can we have them back next year please. Super Tourers were a tad disappointing at the lack of entries and number of withdrawals but a pretty good race none the less. Classic were great as ever, especially Richard Hammond in the very lairy SD1.

Anyone know how badly damaged Kevin Williams' Classic Thunder Cossie is. We were at the Esses when it caught fire, and from what we saw it looked pretty terminal.

Kevin went off just as I came to the Esses, so a bit of rallyxing was called for. Expected him to catch and pass round Coram. Then red flags. Other drivers returning to parc ferme told of a fierce fire so only the worse can be expected.
