Reido Rules should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will we ever get to see these guys again?

During the process of cash for wheels several poorer in terms of money but rich in talent drivers were left out.

Will great drivers like:
Simon Harrison
Simon Graves
Roger Moen
Mat jackson

ever grace the BTCC again, or are they just lost forever. I have heard whispers of Harrison possibly jumping into an ASCAR in 2003 with HTML (would make sence), but I don't think there is too much backing to it. But he is working with GR(i think) at Macau.

Mat Jackson seems to have totally disappeared :S

While I was touring America, so that's why I didn't hear about it.

He really was a quality driver at times last year, and has failed to get a touring class or even another proddie class drive which he richly desearves. But that is the fassion these days, (it has been pretty much all the time) if you aint got the wonga you aint got the ride, which is sad as many class acts loose out each year.

Thanks for the info,

What about Graves? He was really impressive when he came in mid-season in 2001, funny to think that he has overall race victories, but no 2002 drive of any kind. They say motor racing is a fickle mistress, and I guess they're right

Graves was doing testing work for Barwell last year, but no race seat sadly.

What about Gordon Shedden, Nick Beaumont, Joanna Clarke and others as well?

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i think Shedden may be looking to get involved with Ford for 2004. Maybe be a test driver for the car in late 2003?

How about Moen? If you ask me, he should have been picked up for a Touring drive...

Roger Moen? I thought he had to abandon his '98 BTCC campaign b/c a lack of results caused his sponsors to withdraw their support?

Shedden with Ford in 2004 - this place is great for comedy value!

I think Simon Harrison is running the race school at Silverstone now.

What do you mean by that. He has driven Ford before and would be ideal. He is also out of working following GRMs apparant abandoning on the Alfa 147 project.

Sheddon has driven with the works Ford squad in belgium before and got some decent results?, he's a decent driver, so why not? certainly a clearer option than others.

Graves did a very good job last year, and hopefully we'll see him in a Barwell car in 2003 with slighty apparently leaving for the climbs of Australia and some saying Chilts may move on.

None of last years top five production drivers moved into tourers this year, which is quite sad as those Fiive, included some of the best drivers in the series, although perhaps not big names they were very good drivers. Lets hope that they pick up drives as ore manufactuerers and guys like GA enter the top class.

I wonder if James Kaye will move up to Touring next year?? I'm sure this time round in the top class he'd be much better than back in 1995-96.

About Chilton, I've got a gut feeling he'll be driving the 320 next year in BTCP, Edenbridge have had a young driver for the past two years, Ferrier and then Boardman, maybe Chilton??

What about Peter Cate for the Barwell Astra next year? I definitely think that'd be interesting!

Sheddon drove with GR in Belgium at the end of 2000, not the works team

Graves will only go to Barwell if he finds the money. However it did say in this weeks MN that Barwell will be entering a Production car next year, probably one of the ex-Synchro Civics.

You must be forgetful, Gareth Howell finished 5th in Production in 2001, despite all his mechanical failures and ended up in MN's top 10 drivers of the year.
