Good. It is a nice looking car....I think....can't tell too much from the angles and no rear wing. It should be exciting to see it on track.

totally agree.....it looks the dogs.......I really hope it makes it to the race track and they sell more.......it just has so many things going in its favour

1) good and well proven designer - John Travis
2) lots of wind tunnel time
3) good proven engine - Judd 5.5 V10

I think the only thing you could say bad about it is the gearbox is something new, but its not that radical, so should be fine........also it depends who ends up driving the thing I s'pose.........all the top line LMP1 drivers seem to be spoken for........are there any more top flight LMP1 drivers about hanging on a piece of string ready to be slotted into place?

This is one of the best looking cars. The closed cars looks so much better than the open derivats. The areodynamic layout is more radical than the Lola.
With 600 hours in the wind tunnel they are lots ahead of all other customer cars. If they will be able to get it reliable, this car can be a killer.
Lets hope the best for this amazing project.

It's going to be so cool to watch these coupes racing at the head of the field.

This is what sportscars should look like!

I'll likely never be able to seperate open cars from the end of Group C/GTP.

At the time they were a poor replacement.

Closed P1's and open P2's would be fine for me.

Jag you are a wigan fan and thus lack taste. Open cars are great think of the protos of the 1970's? In fact all cars were open at the first Le Mans

I never realized that the throttle body trumpets are so long on the Judd GV5.5 (see here). Good for torque I guess.

You say 70's le mans, i say 917. The rest of that decade, as far as i can tell, didn't even happen.

Yeh, they were awful too.

A low period in Le Mans history sandwiched between the great 917/512 and Group C era's.

Who cares for the mid 70's onwards open cars, or those that raced in the 90's?

When we (I) think of those two periods, it's the 917/512's and GT1/LMGTP's that come to mind.

Isn't Pedro de la Rosa supposed to drive for EE? If so, then it could point to Banco Santander as EE's title sponsor...

I have to agree with JAG here. I nosed through my Le Mans bible for a bit,to see what kind of cars had entered after the 917/512 period and it sort of resembles the chaotic and messy aero design we saw right after 1999.
There are a few exeptions in the looks department, but mostly these open cars can't get close to the design cohesiveness of a smooth and slippery closed coupé.

You always read that Epsilon Euskadi spends a lot of effort to minizime the centre of gravity. Look at the position of the brake calibers: http://www.endurance-info.com/2008_L...emblage_06.jpg Almost horizontal

The exhaust exists directly in front of the rear tyre. Just like Embassy and Porsche.

The nearly horizontal brake calibers were introduced in formula one by the Arrows A20 for the same reason as now on the Epsilon.
If I look at the aerodynamics or the suspension layout i think Epsilon have really tried to maximize the cars performance. They have gone more in details than every other customer car. In preparation they are quite near the works-cars though the Judd- engine is a weak point compared to Peugeot or Audi.
But perhaps Epsilon can surprise us with some good results.

have a look at http://www.endurance-info.com/articl...d=4932&thold=0
Epsilon windtunnel pics are published.
Once more a car with a very long wheelbase. 2980mm is the same as the Audi R10 have.

I like both open-top and closed sports cars, but neither of the current generation is on the top of my list. For good open-top cars, see

http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-12-006.jpg
http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-12-003.jpg (minus the air intake!)
http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-16-001.jpg
http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-13-015.jpg

And coupe's:

http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-17-019.jpg
http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-06-17-023.jpg

The current generation of coupe's have a tendency to look a bit "bubbly"... And besides, Epsilon like all others have too much aero for my taste

Looking at the build pics, they appear to have changed to side exhausts. It may have been an aero issue or simply too little space to have the pipes and silencers exiting through the tail.
